Non-profit institutions and volunteering: Economic contribution, first quarter to fourth quarter 2024

Real gross domestic product (GDP) of non-profit institutions (NPIs) rose 0.3% in the fourth quarter, following a 0.8% increase in the third quarter. All non-profit subsectors contributed positively to the rise in real GDP in the fourth quarter, although growth was weaker across subsectors compared with the third quarter.

Study: Use of official languages at home: An analysis based on the academic path of graduates in Canada, 2021

In 2021, the vast majority of postsecondary graduates aged 18 to 30—graduates in Quebec with an English mother tongue (95%) and graduates in Canada outside Quebec with a French mother tongue (93%)—had attended a school during their studies where the minority official language (English in Quebec and French in Canada outside Quebec) was a language of instruction.

Farm operating revenues and expenses, 2023 (revised data)

The average operating revenue of agricultural operations increased 7.5% year over year to $760,886 in 2023. Average operating expenses rose 7.3% to $618,420. As a result, average net operating income was up by 8.2% to $142,466.
