The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic motivated many Canadian businesses to change their business models in order to adapt to economic restrictions and greater demand for online goods and services. Using data from the 2019 and 2021 Survey of Digital Technology and Internet Use, this article examines selected changes in the e-commerce strategies of Canadian businesses during the pandemic.
- Impacts of COVID-19 on Canadian nursing homes and seniors' homes in 2021
This study addresses nursing homes and seniors'' homes in 2021, providing preliminary insights into these facilities and the residents of these facilities across regions in Canada. Concepts discussed include Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) protocols and practices, and changes made to facilities in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- COVID-19 mortality among racialized populations in Canada and its association with income
This study explores the 2020 COVID-19 mortality among racialized populations in Canada and its association with income. The results are based on the Canadian Census Health and Environmental Cohort (CanCHEC) which combined the long-form 2016 Census with Canadian Vital Statistics- Death Database from 2016-2020.
