The information presented here was previously known as Info Source: Sources of Federal Government and Employee Information.

Information about Programs and Information Holdings is a series of publications containing information about and/or collected by the Government of Canada. The primary purpose of these publications is to assist individuals' exercise of their rights under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act. They also support the federal government's commitment to facilitating access to information regarding its activities.

Statistics Canada's annual chapter, available from 2012, contains descriptions of the Personal Information Banks related to its activities.
