Statistics Canada has built a new Canadian International Merchandise Trade (CIMT) web application that will allow trade data users to find the answers to such questions.

(Two boxes appear on screen with the text: "Exports; View export trade data at the HS6 or HS8 level of detail." And "Imports; View import trade data at the HS6 or HS10 level of detail." Appears on screen)

This modern and user-centric web application will provide users with the most detailed level of commodity data, HS8 and HS10.

(The CIMT Exports page is displayed with the Commodities tab selected)

(The words: "maple syrup" are being typed on screen)

The new CIMT web app will give customs trade data users the option to browse different commodities and view the commodity's national and provincial levels of exports and imports.

(The mouse cursor selects the "Top trade partners" tab)

Through Quick reports, trade data users will be able to obtain, for example, the top 25 commodities being traded between Canada and a trading partner of interest, such as the world, the United States, China, New Zealand, the Republic of South Africa...

(With the "Data extraction" tab selected; the mouse cursor selects several different options on the page)

Users will also have the opportunity to gather information on import and export values and quantities though time, country or U.S. state of destination or origin for all Harmonized System (HS) commodities classified under a specific HS chapter or HS heading.

To allow users to analyze different economic trends of customs-based commodity trade data, we have also included monthly and annual data frequency under the Extract data tab in this modernized web app.

(The CIMT landing page is displayed)

We care about your data requests and therefore we decided to build this web application to help you obtain what you are looking for in the snap of a finger.

(The word "StatCan" is on screen)

(The words: "Critical, statistical and information" are on screen)
