This workshop is designed for individuals who wish to gain a basic knowledge that will allow them to better understand the data, the tables and the documentation relating to demography in order to assist them in creating a better analysis. This workshop constitutes presentations, discussions and practical exercises. It reviews various concepts related to demography (birth rates, death rates, fertility, the aging population, natural growth, migration...) as well as the methods used in population projections and estimations.
