Canadian Defence, Aerospace, Marine and Cybersecurity Industries Survey

This survey will produce statistical information on goods and services, sales, exports, innovation, skills and business practices among firms engaged in defence, aerospace, marine and cybersecurity sectors in Canada. The data will be used to better understand the characteristics of businesses engaged in these activities, as well as to develop policies and programs to help them. In addition, the data will be used to support the implementation of a federal Defence Procurement Strategy.

Your information may also be used by Statistics Canada for other statistical and research purposes.

This survey is conducted in co-operation with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada to produce new statistical information on the sales, costs, capital expenditures, employment and markets of the firms engaged in the defence, aerospace, marine and cybersecurity industries in Canada.

What type of information will be collected?

The survey will collect information on domestic and export sales, product lines, expenses, employment and capital expenditures of companies engaged in the defence, aerospace, marine and cybersecurity industries in Canada.

How will this information be used?

The data from this survey will be used by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada to better understand the current environment in which companies in these industries operate, and it will also be used in the development of policies and programs that will support the advancement of these industries.
