Canada 4.0 – Canadian society, the economy and the digital transformation
The digital transformation is having a profound impact on Canadian society and the economy. Businesses, governments and citizens are seeing an explosion in data and data analytics. Experts say that 90% of the world's data have been created in the last two years. Today, data and the digital economy are rapidly driving innovation, and social and economic opportunity.
To capture these revolutionary changes, Statistics Canada and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada are hosting a series of digitally-delivered events as part of the Canada 4.0 initiative, which aims to develop a roadmap to better measure our digital economy, and provide Canadians with responsive information to help them navigate the digital age.
Canadians, businesses, governments and non-profit organizations are invited to attend via webcast to share how the digital revolution is impacting them, identify the type of information they need to navigate this change and how, together, we can leverage the economic and social opportunities it presents.
