Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I’m a Canadian tourist.
My boyfriend and I will be heading on a round-the-world trip which is going to last a whole year! Our first destination is Japan, to try to catch the cherry blossoms for spring. We plan to go to lots of other countries after that.
I discovered that on the Statistics Canada website, there’s a ton of data that is helpful for tourists like us. There’s also information about the foreign tourists who visit Canada, such as how many come and which countries they come from. You can see how much the average Canadian tourist abroad spends per diem, and how many days the average tourist trip lasts.
There are also statistics about where Canadians travel. For example, you can find out the top 15 states in the United States which we visit the most often.
StatCan data is a great free resource for tourists. Check it out!
