Total production of cement increased 6.7% to 13.6 million metric tonnes in 2018.
Total export sales of cement totalled 4.5 million metric tonnes in 2018, up 11.4% from 2017.

The Annual Cement Survey measures production and export sales of cement products.
2017 annual data were revised. Data in this release are subject to revisions.
The Monthly Cement Survey was replaced with a reduced annual survey. As part of the collection of the 2017 annual data, 2016 data were revised. These revisions are not reflected in the monthly cement survey tables (tables 16-10-0042-01 and 16-10-0043-01).
