Statistics Canada's Centre for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics has released a new data table related to child care costs. These statistics will be used by the Gender Results Framework, a whole-of-government tool designed to track gender equality in Canada.
Using data from the 2018 Canadian Income Survey, the Centre has produced a table showing the proportion of annual after-tax family income spent on child care, by economic family type and age of youngest child.
These new data will soon be housed in the Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub.
