Today, Statistics Canada is releasing five historical data tables and two infographics on the use and knowledge of English and French by education workers in Quebec and the use and knowledge of French by education workers in Canada outside Quebec.

The data tables provide information on the first official language spoken in Canada and its provinces and territories, knowledge of official languages in Canada and its provinces and territories, use of English and French at work in Quebec, and use of French in Canada outside Quebec by education workers in 2011 and 2016. Two infographics are also available. These data are based on the 2011 National Household Survey and the 2016 Census of Population.
