Note to readers
The value added in exports database provides data on the exports and imports of industries, as well as on the direct and indirect impact of exports on gross domestic product and jobs by industry. Industry impacts can be viewed from the perspective of their impact on other industries or from the perspective of an industry's dependence on other industries. Data cover the period from 2007 to 2023 and rely on the supply and use tables, which provide the basis for the calculations.
The estimates for 2022 and 2023 are only available nationally. They are based on advanced estimates of the Canadian supply and use tables that were modelled based on industry indicators of output and gross value added and benchmarked to published income and expenditure account figures.
