Many Canadians take advantage of the warm weather to take summer vacation and get some travelling in. Whether it’s a flight abroad or a road trip closer to home, summer is a great time to get out and explore the world around us.
As we approach the end of summer, let’s take a trip back to the beginning of the season and check in on Canadians travelling abroad in June.

The busiest airports for Canadian residents returning home from abroad in June were in Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver and Calgary, together accounting for 93.7% of all arrivals.
Summer road tripping
Many Canadians hit the roads on summer vacation—whether it’s a longer road trip, a day trip to the beach or anything in between.
Canadian residents took 2.3 million trips to the United States by automobile in June, accounting for roughly three in five trips (59.0%) taken abroad. Two-thirds (66.1%) of those automobile trips to the United States were same-day trips.
